Criminal Record Check Policy

Orix Sports Club requires all coaches/volunteers and administrators working with youth complete a Vulnerable Sector Check(VSC)/Criminal Record Check(CRC) every three (3) years. The organization takes this requirement very seriously and the safety of our youth is of the upmost
importance. Orix Sports Club uses the BC Criminal Record Review Program (CRRP) to obtain a clearance letter. Begin CRRP Application Here Orix Sports Club will provide you with an access code that will be required to submit the application.

Orix Sports Club must have received the CRRP clearance letter before you can attend your first game, practice or gathering either in person or online.

All staff, volunteers and administrators are required to have a Criminal Records Check (CRC) on file with the organization. The CRC is valid for five (5) years, but Orix Sports Club requires its staff, volunteers and administrators to obtain a new approval every three (3) years. Reminder emails will be sent out to volunteers/staff/administrators regarding the process prior to the start of each year. Also, throughout the
season when a CRC is coming due, the organization will contact the individual approximately one month prior to the expiry date. The board of directors makes all final decisions on volunteers and staff who do not comply with the screening process.
